Moroccan cuisine, what's worth tasting?Moroccan cuisine is the queen the Maghreb’s flavors. Main speciality is Couscous with meat and vegetables or vegetables only, being a recipe that pleases everyone: vegetarian and not!
If you are looking at a unique course, then you should order a Tajine of meat with prunes, dried fruit or raisins.
The most delicate palates, would rather try the Harira (soup) with chickpeas, served hot with a drizzle of olive oil on the top.
When it's time for dessert: orange, cinnamon and lemon are the masters!

Hammams in Marrakech…detox escapeMake sure to give yourself 1 or 2 hours in a local Hammam!
It is a ritual that has deep roots: men and women have always let themselves be soothed and pampered in this magical places made of steam, soft lighting and spicy aromas in which relaxation is assured.
There are plenty in the Medina, some traditional and bare, other more elegant.
Climate in Morocco, what to pack?Here temperatures range between 46 and 62 farenheit (8-17 °C) in winter; 68 and 95 (20 – over 35 °C) in summer. Marrakech is a quite ventilated city, that enjoys a good thermal excursion during evening.
In winter season, it is recammandable to wear several layers of clothing and not to forget a windproof jacket. For the warmer months, you’d better put on linen clothes, not too skimpy. Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and swimsuit to enjoy the pool on our terrace are also recommended.
Good to know: Marrakech has a such a vibrant nightlife... Dress code is smart casual :)
Are you looking for the Couscous recipe? Dont' look any further...Ingredients: ½ pound Cous cous; 1 onion; 3 zucchini ?; 3 carrots; 3 eggplant; 1 teaspoon saffron; 1 tablespoon ginger; 1 tablespoon of paprika; 1 tablespoon salt; 3 tablespoons olive oil; 2 tablespoons peanut oil; 1 knob of butter; water q.s.
Prep: 1 hour and a half - Cooking: 50 Minutes - Servings: 4-6 people
Cut all the vegetables and onion as condiments for th Couscous.
Saute for raw onions and carrots, add oil (1 olive and peanut), salt, ginger, red pepper and saffron. When the carrots have absorbed both oil and spices, then add the zucchini and eggplant. Continue over medium heat for 5 minutes, then add the warm water. Leave in cooking for 25 minutes. (The water should just cover the vegetables, not to exceed).
Just before serving, add the butter.
Pour the couscous in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, then mixed with both hands for a minute. Bake in a water bath for a few minutes.
Laying the couscous (pyramid shape) in a large pot, then place the vegetables around. You can also add a touch of spice to taste.

Travel documents and SafetyTo enter Morocco you simply need PASSPORT with six-months validity left. Citizens from Europe, the US and Canada do not need a visa. The embassies and consulates based in your country can provide useful information before you travel. Please note that your holiday should not last more than 90 days! J
Marrakech is a pieceful and quite city to visit. It is recommended for all targets: young couples, families with children, groups of friends, solo travelers and over 65.
Currency & Need to change?Dirham (DHS or MAD): with 1 Euro/CHF you get 10 Dirhams approx; with 1 GBP you buy about 15 Dirhams, with 1 US Dollar about 8 Dirhams. There are many exchange offices, especially near Jeema El Fna.
It is worth knowing that the most popular credit cards, Visa and Mastercard, as well as Euro currency are accepted almost everywhere. Don’t worry, you can get the best deal in the souks also with euro currency!
You are not allowed to leave Morocco with Dirhams in your pocket, airport Police can ispect both your checked and hand luggages.
